Topics can include EAL; ELL; Multilingual Learning; Mother Tongue Language Acquisition; Host Language Acquisition; Translanguaging.

MiniPD Coaches are experienced international school IB and Non-IB Consultants, Leaders and Teachers.

Anna Leaman
As a head of English, EAL and literacy coordinator, Anna has over eleven years of experience improving the English language proficiency of young people. She has worked in an inner-city Manchester comprehensive, a Nord Anglia international school in Malaysia and a specialist SEND provision in Leicestershire: a diverse range of settings with one priority in common - developing a whole school approach to improving the English language proficiency of all learners. Currently, Anna works with schools to share proven strategies, processes and resources to facilitate improvement to the English language learning provision that they offer. She focuses on upskilling the most valuable resources within a school: teachers and support staff, to nurture the English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills across mainstream and intervention classrooms, whilst supporting the implementation of a highly effective whole-school approach to inclusion.
Beth Puma
Beth Puma is currently an Instructional Coach and EAL Specialist at The American School in Japan. She has a broad range of experience as a classroom teacher, EAL specialist, curriculum coordinator and coach in K-12 schools. She has worked with linguistically diverse students in New York City, Tucson, Guangzhou, and Tokyo. She specializes in working with teachers in unit and lesson design that strategically meets students’ needs through inquiry, standards aligned-instruction, differentiation, and scaffolding. Beth is dedicated to building a more transformative educational landscape that honors linguistic diversity and challenges societal paradigms.
Rini Ghosh
Rini Ghosh is a facilitator and examiner for Spanish with the International Baccalaureate. She has designed the teacher's training program for language under e-PG Pathshala, an initiative of the MHRD under its National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT) being executed by the UGC in collaboration with Govt. of India. She has been associated with Instituto Cervantes as a faculty and assisted in the creation of their C2 level courses. She is currently the Diploma Coordinator with an IB school in India and has strong domain knowledge in curriculum mapping, integrating cultural aspects in language classrooms, and technology. She is with the Board of Studies at Amity University in India. She has accomplished a course from the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education on Teaching and Learning, and also has assisted as a Teacher Assistant in the course.
